How much value does your self-content add to your facial or outer happiness?

Some people develop a happy face and it gives an imprint that they are really happy inside. Some develop serious faces and give imprints that they are gloomy. They do not feel happiness inside at all. They are the strict ones and highly disciplined and restrictive in terms of expressing their emotion. Have you met such people? or are you one of them?

How does that affect your lifestyle or relationship at work or at family gatherings? Do you attract more people towards yourself with your 'always smiling faces'? or Do you repel or push back people? I know getting a smiling face or a grim face is not in our control but your action and reaction to the action is in your control.

What can happen if you have a such constant face?

Both of them can face serious problems at work and in relationships. People with smiling and always happy faces can be taken for granted. They would be pushed back to do something that they really don't want to do but can't express properly and can't say no to things. People can take advantage of such a person in a way they do not want to. They can be asked to work extra and late hours because, with their always happy face, it can be wrongly assumed that they enjoy their work too much that it is obligatory that they work an extra hour. People with always happy face also uses their smiles or laugh to ignore a conversation that they do not want to engage in. It makes no sense to the other person of their intention until they know each other very well. That is why they make connections easily but can't sustain them for a longer period.

The same goes for a person with a grim face. They have their challenges too. They tend to deflect people. Irrespective of their desire to be in a group of people and have fun sometimes. They do not get companions easily or instantly. They do not invite the invitation of others easily. These kinds of people find it difficult to build connections and networks at work and in other new spaces in the beginning. But once they make such friendship and connection they tend to last for a longer period.

What one can do actually?

Both of them have to learn communication way more than other people. They will have to learn to say what they think. They will have to learn to explicitly tell people in clear words their choices and desire. What their face doesn't communicate, they have to do that communication by going extra on their part. Especially, in new places, They have to be vocal more than what they express with their face. If they can't push or control their natural facial look, they need to control the conversation.

And it is not true at all, that people with happy faces are always happy. Most of the time they hide their pain by laughing off. The same goes with the poker face person, they tend to express their happiness in a poker way. They do feel all the emotions inside. It's just it doesn't come explicitly to their facial expression. Don't judge people too early seeing what they look like. We ought to say that the first impression is the last one. But I think with little effort from these people, you should judge them by the last impression of theirs on you.

In the end, Your constant face is not depicting entirely your attitude towards life. It doesn't measure how happy or sad you are at one point in time. It's just part of your natural being just like your other organ. If you have such a constant face you have to work on your skills to get ahead of it. As your organs cant be your identity. It is what you are and what you feel. You have to learn to express your feeling and your personality a little more than others. You have to clearly communicate your feelings. Everyone Should express their feeling more in words and by speaking them clearly. It also helps others and yourself to be more content in life.
