Plastic-Free Madh : An Initiative for Plastic free Island in Mumbai

' Plastic Free Madh ’ a project aimed at making plastic free Madh, an island village in Mumbai suburb was started in the last week of January 2019.  The project started with a lot of uncertainties and doubts is now showing its positive impact. The project was initiated by two young Piramal Fellows Simran Sharma and Vaibhav Patel.  Founded on the seven Islands, the city of Mumbai has been heavily known for its coastal tourism and pisciculture. Madh Island is one such location which has gained tourism population. However, the original occupants of the land are the Kohlis, which are the oldest fishing community of Maharashtra. Madh Island is heavily guarded by the Kohli Community with a population of 45,000 people as it is the last bastion. The primary occupation of the community is the fishery business. Jhunjhunu : A land of Brave Soldiers, Business Tycoon and the hub of Great Initiatives

History A small town of 5929 square Kilometre is located in between the border of Haryana and Rajasthan. This Town comes under the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan along with two other major District of Rajasthan namely Sikar and Churu. Various structure and old construction tells the chronicles about the richness of the town in the past. It was not clear in history about who was the genuine founder of the town but there is a mentioning that the town is under an autonomous functioning under of its own king. The town was developed with all its infrastructure to provide assistance to the Baniya (The traders and Merchants) so that the town would get its share and the kingdom remain prosperous and flourishing. History mentioned about jhunjhunu in the Vikrams Era 1045 when the town was under Chauhan dynasty. बच्चों की उर्जा और होशियारी के चश्मदीद हम पिछले 19 महीनों से हैं और रोजाना इसकी झलकियाँ हमें मिलती ही रहती हैं| आज का दिन भी ऐसा ही था, LIBRARY CAMPAIGN( “ पधारो म्हारे विद्यालय ) के मौके पर आज रामपुरा में दूसरे चरण के काम को अंजाम देने पहुँचे| जहाँ रंग-बिरंगे चित्र पुस्तकालय की दीवारों की सुंदरता बढ़ा रहे है, पुस्तकालय के दरवाजे पर राजस्थानी अंदाज में “पधारो म्हारे पुस्तकालय” पाठक को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करने को तैयार हैं| बस जरुरी इस बात की थी की पुस्तकालय को थोड़ा व्यवस्थित किया जाए और इसी क्रम में, सबसे पहले   उनसे मिलना जरुरी था जो अपने अंदर सबसे ज्यादा उर्जा रखने वाले होते हैं, कुछ चमत्कारी से होते हैं, और कुछ हरफ़नमौला| आपका अंदाजा सही जा रहा है, वो हैं “बच्चे” | आख़िर लाइब्रेरी को उपयोग में लेना इनके लिए इनके स्चूली अधिकार से कम नहीं और तो और इनके कौशलों का स्तंभ है| बैठ गई उन बच्चों के बीच में जिनके साथ आज पूरे दिन पुस्तकालय को व्यवस्थित करना था, अब किसी भी चीज के शुभारंभ से पहले   पुरे मन-मस्तिष्क में उस काम के उदेश्यों का होना तो ज़रूरी ही है| मैंने पूछा बच्चों आपको पता है आप यहाँ
